Betsson, 888, and Sisal are all competing for one of the seven gaming permits in Buenos Aires. The registration period for the process ends tomorrow, June 25th.
Betsson, 888, and Sisal have all joined forces with local enterprises to secure a permit. Betsson has teamed up with Victoria Casino, 888 has partnered with Boldt, and Sisal has collaborated with Areltown and El Chalero.
These three firms are just a few of the global operators vying for a permit. The Stars Group has partnered with Atlantica de Juegos, William Hill has teamed up with ArgenBingo, and Flutter Entertainment has joined forces with Bingo Pilar. Intralot has partnered with BinBaires, and Playtech has collaborated with Hotel Casino Tandil.
Bet365 has made its way into the Mexican online gaming industry, joining forces with bingo provider Pasteko. Betway has collaborated with Bingo King, and Codere has forged an agreement with slot machine and bingo hall operator Iberargen.
Spanish gaming company Luckia has agreed to work alongside Emprendimientos Crown, and BetCris has partnered with Impresora Internacional de Valores.
Just two local brands, Biyemas and Slots Machines, will function autonomously, without international collaborators.
Potential permit holders are vying for one of seven 15-year online gambling licenses, which encompass all product categories. Successful applicants will pay a licensing fee of 65 million Argentine pesos (€1.3 million/$1.5 million) and subsequently a 25% tax on total gambling earnings.
It remains unclear whether other operators and suppliers will participate in the process, as the registration period concludes tomorrow (June 25) at 11:00 am Buenos Aires time.
