Wizard Games, a branch of NeoGames, has declared the hiring of Dimitar Panteleev as its new Head of Game Technology.

Panteleev will guide Wizard Games’ game technology exploration and implementation endeavors, including directing the development crew, propelling new technology advancement, and overseeing quality assurance and research groups. Before joining Wizard Games, he served as the Chief Technology Officer at The Better Platform, a Bulgarian online gambling provider, where he was accountable for constructing and maintaining the company’s online casino platform. Before that, he held the position of Development Manager at FootballScout and worked in the personal finance division of BNP Paribas. Earlier in his career, he worked as a software developer at a Bulgarian software firm. Additionally, Panteleev co-founded Make Sense, a company that creates business solutions for retail settings.

“Wizard Games has launched some of the top and most thrilling games in the industry in 2023,” said Panteleev. “I am privileged to contribute to its expansion as Director of Game Technology. We have had a great start, and there is robust development happening behind the scenes, which I am truly enjoying getting my hands on with some truly exceptional projects. I am looking forward to the next chapter and can’t wait to present what we are doing.”

Wizard Games’ General Manager, Benedict MacDonald, stated, “We will continue to innovate and push the limits of slot creation in 2024.” He added, “Dimitris will be a key factor in this advancement.”

“We are thrilled to welcome him to the team and are confident he will contribute to Wizard Games reaching new milestones.”

NeoGames’ success in the third quarter was driven by expansion in the American market.
This appointment follows the announcement of positive third-quarter results by Wizard Games’ parent company, NeoGames. CEO Moti Malul attributed this achievement to growth in the US lottery sector.

Adjusted income for the three-month period reached $19.9 million (£15.6 million/€18.2 million), a 13% increase year-over-year. NeoGames also managed to decrease its net loss from $4.4 million to $3.6 million.

Net losses for the first nine months were reduced from $18.2 million to $12.2 million. This contributed to a significant rise in adjusted income from $36.4 million to $58 million for the first nine months.

All of this is occurring amidst Aristocrat Leisure’s acquisition of NeoGames. In May 2023, Aristocrat agreed to purchase the supplier for $1.2 billion.

The NeoGames board and the supplier’s stakeholders subsequently voted overwhelmingly in favor of the agreement. Pending the fulfillment of closing conditions, Aristocrat and NeoGames anticipate finalizing the transaction in the first half of fiscal year 2024.
